An Ode To My Fans

The words are in my head, I just can't get em in order the way I'd like so here's to hoping for the best...

My friends, supporters, motivators, fans, stoners, hippies, gangstas, hood niggaz, sexy ladies, proud parents and everybody in between, what can I say? Twenty one mixtapes, music projects, street albums, however you wanna put it. Over 8 years, countless studio sessions and performances, 700 songs and a reputation that far succeeds me as an artist and professional. I owe it all to yall. I'm sure you're probably like damn nigga you thank us for supporting you almost every day, and you just might be right lol. It only because I've seen the worst of the worst that life can deal at one time and I really appreciate people giving a shit about me, my music and overall wellbeing. You asked questions, made suggestions and gave me all the motivation to keep making great music and take it to higher levels that I honestly never imagined.

You don't look at me as your typical local artist who's just passing time with a hobby for music. You respect my craft to the fullest and and despite all of the hate and random allegations in the past, you stuck by my side and saw me through this shit to a new day. Why wouldn't somebody be constantly greatful for such a diverse group of individuals who all come together for the satisfaction of watching me represent for you and the entire cities of Atlanta and Chattanooga? Exactly. From being locked in a jail cell unwillingly and unlawfully to intentionally staying in a booth with nothing more than headphones, good green and my thoughts, I've evolved into something that can never be stopped. My confidence is at a high point right now and I plan on keeping it there for quite a while. I've learned that it not the people you want to give a fuck that will, but the people you don't even think about. They never enter your mind as a solid foundation for you to lean on and grow from, but they're there all the same.

I just wanna give a shout out to everybody involved in the production of Mixxtape 21, including producers, artists, managers, engineers, the homie DJ HI$E and most of all, the fans. It's for you that this project has been created. I took the criticism and comments, ran with the critiques and made exactly what you've asked for. I don't plan on ever leaving the mixtape circuit completely because it's where I started and where I can truly be free in my creativity but it's time to rise above the rest and take over the ears of the world. I pray that yall continue to be my strength factors and support systems throughout this journey because it's only through Christ and support that I maintain as an artist. So before Mixxtape 21 drops in a few hours, let me say thank you for what you don't even know you did.
Show love and live life, D.R.P.
