It's almost here... The anticipation has been rising for the past three months nonstop from the radio renegade to the social media takeover. The love is high this season and I think it's a little more than the Christmas spirit that's got the people raving. Man I'm literally counting the days down to the hours until Mixxtape 21 drops. There are a few monumental moments in life that kinda make you sit back and relish, and this is one of those moments hands down.
As yall know, Mixxtape 21 is my twenty first project released to the public, and it is by far one of the most developed and creative mixtapes I've produced thus far. The concepts in songs like Hotels 2 Hollywood, Best Night and Final Song have been deemed universally relevant by the masses, and with club bangers like Goin Ham, Alien and Codeine Wit My Lemonade providing a healthy dose of dopeness, Mixxtape 21 is one for the hip hop community to lock onto and never let go.
I appreciate all of the artists, djs, promoters and producers who've helped me complete such an epic part of my discography. Between the monotonous recording sessions, multiple editing treatments and the never ending, constantly frustrating mixing and mastering journies all over the course of 14 months, this has been a long time coming.
Management saw fit at one time to sell the project instead of free distribution in stores and online, take away hit songs from the mixtape to save for the album and a few more things that I felt just took away from what I wanted the fans to have, but I fought as hard as I could for artist creativity, and in the end we have a masterpiece.
I won't preach too much about how good the mixtape is or how dope the lyrics are. About how you should download it or go out in stores and get it because I did it for you, whether you go out for me or not. For every song listened to, every video ever played, every website ever visited, I am beyond appreciative for the support my fans show me. I keep up this blog in the hopes that you guys keep coming back for more, and come back your have in numbers greater than I could've imagined. I just hope yall realize the dedication and consistency, the work ethic and long nights without sleep missed to produce for you, the best of me. I won't say that this is as good as it gets because I'd be lying if I said that, but just know that perfection is in the air on Mixxtape 21, set to be released December 20th online via iTunes and Amazon Music, as well as in local stores in Chattanooga such as Ed Mans, local gas stations, M&J's and other locations later listed. Thanks for the love yall, I swear it's a constant appreciation. Later Dayz.
