Today Was A Good Day

From The 423in 5...4..3..2..1..WHAT'S HAPPNIN' WORLD!!!! I  truly hope everybody is enjoying the new blog "Live From The 423" because a lot of thought was put into this one. First and foremost, thank you to everybody who has kept my muzik close to home and have continuously supported this D.R.P./Atlas Studios movement (I'd be nowhere in life without you guys, seriously.) Next, if you haven't yet, download "The Best Of" that released today on DatPiff.com and can be found at the top of this blog page for free! Now, the basis of this post is simple: a lot of people have been wondering about the concept behind "LFT423" and I wanna take some time out to explain everything while keeping it relevant to anybody and everybody listening to my muzik anywhere in the world.

For starters, the 423 is the area code for Chattanooga, TN, so there are no hidden meanings or subliminals there lol. The reason why I decided to name the three ring project "LFT423," which consists of The Best Of, Mixxtape 21 and Live From The 423: The Album, is because there have been a lot of controversial epidemics taking place in this city alone in the past few years, and not much light has been shed on the subjects to the higher powered political parties in our city. From teens murdering teens to adults murdering teens, violence at every corner. It seems as though the poverty level has risen in the city, while the rich remain rich without a care in the world. Pre-teen girls are walking around with 5 year children, people I went to school with are hooked on the hardest drugs the city has to offer, these are just a small inkling of the issues that are bounding the city by the masses, slowly but surely. Being that I was blessed with the ability to create muzik to the extent that I do, I felt that it was pinnacle to reach deep within the depths of the citywide struggles, and give our story to the world. LFT423 isn't your average music project. This entails everything from muzik, videos, live performances and charity events to tours, major distribution, and yep, RECORD DEALS!!!
